The most important trade show is coming up—so the presentation has to be spot-on. For BJB, a specialist in lighting components, that trade show is Light + Building. It took place from the 8th to the 13th at Messe Frankfurt in 2026.
When BJB commissioned the project, the trade show builder had already planned the booth and the exhibits. But for this major industry trade show, BJB’s presentation needed to stand out: eye-catching, creative, with tangible content, international in scope, and effective both up close and from a distance.
To this end we not only used booth walls and an overhead banner but also square cubes that tangibly showcased the BJB portfolio on the booth.
The core messages of the trade show booth were defined as:
- Sustainability
- Interchangeable components
- Technical expertise
- Innovative portfolio
- Company tradition
To ensure the presentation wasn’t as interchangeable as the intelligent lighting components, we created a world of ts own—and introduced some key character to the trade show.

Brightness in safe hands: The „Guardians of light“ brought our concept to life. Our imaginative group of characters turned the booth into a popular photo spot for trade show visitors from all over the world.
The various characters from our luminous fantasy cosmos embodied the characteristics of the BJB portfolio under the motto “The Creation of Possibilities.”
“The Steward” focused on sustainability while “The Superior” demonstrated the excellence of the products, and “The Creator”presented new possibilities. “The Axis,” on the other hand, illustrates the idea that BJB creates new perspectives.
With this team, we created a counterpoint to the predominantly technical and functional nature of most trade show appearances; a design and a host of ideas that will remain vividly in the memories of trade show visitors—and are simply fun.
